Purchasing a reagent for a study is a documentation exercise as much as a transaction. A reviewer may ask for the batch, the release data and the storage history of any compound used, and a supplier should make those answers easy to give. Skin and extracellular matrix programs have two entry points: the GHK-Cu starter kit with diluent and consumables, and the GLOW blend of BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu in a single 70mg vial. KPV, the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH, is used in inflammatory signalling assays. Ageing biology draws on Epitalon tetrapeptide in 10mg and 50mg and on SS-31, a cardiolipin-binding mitochondrial peptide. Cell migration work can begin with the TB-500 starter kit, which packs the thymosin beta-4 fragment with its preparation supplies.
Epitalon is a synthetic four residue peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, examined chiefly in telomerase and pineal research, and stocked at 10mg and 50mg. SS-31, a four residue aromatic and cationic sequence, accumulates at cardiolipin on the inner mitochondrial membrane; it comes in 10mg and 50mg vials. KPV consists of lysine, proline and valine and is listed as a 10mg vial and as 60 capsules of 250 mcg. TB-500 is a synthetic sequence modelled on the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4, sold at 2mg, 5mg and 10mg. GHK-Cu, the copper complex of glycyl-histidyl-lysine, is held at 50mg and 100mg. None of these compounds is ARTG registered; each is sold as a research reagent.
Accurate reconstitution fixes the concentration every later measurement depends on, so the diluents are listed next to the peptides. Benzyl alcohol preserved bacteriostatic water comes as 3, 10 or 30 mL and suits vials that will be entered repeatedly over a project. For sequences that dissolve poorly at neutral pH, acetic acid diluent in a 3 mL vial is available. Insulin syringes in 20 or 100 packs are graduated for U-100 volumes, and the dilution calculator works out the resulting strength per mL.
A batch cannot be released until two analyses are complete. The HPLC trace has to show purity at 98% or higher, and a mass spectrometry result has to agree with the calculated molecular weight of the peptide. Both results are entered on a certificate of analysis, and that certificate is filed under the lot code printed on each vial.

National scheduling comes from the TGA and its Poisons Standard, but the applicable state law changes at the border. Coastal summers combine heat with humidity, and a parcel left on a doorstep can warm quickly. Freeze-dried peptide is tolerant of normal transit, yet the day of delivery is when proper storage should begin: sealed vials into a -20 °C freezer and kept dark, and any reconstituted working solution kept at 2 to 8 °C. On humid days, allow a vial taken from the freezer to reach room temperature before opening it, which prevents moisture condensing on the powder. Cooler hinterland winters pose no risk to lyophilised material.
